The cover video is described here:
On my 90th Birthday, October 22, 2023, to be celebrated on Saturday the 21st at The Exploration of Flight Museum located at the Centennial Airport south of Denver, the book signing event will be held. Invitees to include 4 Apollo astronauts and one Shuttle astronaut. Major General John Barry (USAF Ret), CEO of the Wings Over the Rockies main facility in Denver, will promote the event.
Dr. Angus Rupert, Navy Flight Surgeon (Ret), will bring his 1975 Cessna 180 Tail Dragger from Pensacola. Hopefully, the 1948 Aeronca Champion from Erie Colorado will be available next year for this event. I was given an hour's flight in it on 9/16/22. The event commemorates my 1949 solo flights at 16 years old.
My self-publishing company Archway Publishing, a division of Simon & Schuster, provides the capability to deliver the required services and products in a short lead time. The donated funds to finance the expedited schedule with only 13 months to the event. The funds will also provide the astronaut's travel, housing, and food.
The astronauts and I are at the age of an increased risk of our inability to attend the planned event. If I am unable, my family will donate any resulting unobligated funds to two specified nonprofit 501c3 corporations. The museum and the Society of Experimental Test Pilots will share equally
By the late summer or early fall of 2023, the Exploration of Flight event will release invitations for this event. The Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum provides events on the former Lowry Air Force Base in Denver and their Centennial annex. I will work with their planning and marketing next summer as budgeting for astronauts, distinguished authors, and publications costs will be the significant disbursement of funds.
