An accessible garden for Nate

We are raising funds to make our garden more accessible for our 6 year old son, Nate. Nate is disabled and is also diagnosed with multiple severe allergies and a condition called Pica.

We are fundraising for artificial grass to be put into our garden. This will be life-changing for Nate as one of his allergies is grass pollen. Nate was in hospital twice this year with reactions to it and takes eye drops throughout the summer and has just been prescribed more as his symptoms have returned. He takes daily antihistamine and also carries an EpiPen. The condition of Pica means that Nate eats non-edible items, which can be potential choking hazards. He is very keen on mud, stones, grass, anything he can find. The garden is inaccessible in its current state.

My hope is by having artificial grass, Nate will be able to enjoy our outdoor area and not be faced with these potentially very serious issues. Nate loves being outdoors - it helps to regulate him and is fundamental to his health and wellbeing.

We have a wonderful charity funding some of the cost of the artificial grass, but they are unable to meet all of it. If you're able to help us with this in any way, we will be forever grateful! I know the HUGE difference this will make to Nate and his home life. At school he spends the majority of his time outside and I want to be able to give him the same access at home.

I've included pictures of how our garden looked originally. We have removed all of the concrete and we're ready to lay the grass, once we have achieved our funding target.
