An 81 year old homeless senior and his old dog.

My name is Tina, and I’m trying to raise money to help a homeless senior and his old dog.
I’m a waitress and am trying to help an 81-year-old man living in his car. He comes into the restaurant I work at about once a week for a hot meal. I recently learned he is homeless. He gets only $1,040 a month from Social Security. Out of that, he pays car insurance, phone bill, and a second health insurance. From my understanding, he was renting a house for the last 10 years from an elderly couple. The husband passed away, leaving the burden of renting the house on his wife, who was in her 90s. The wife couldn’t take care of the house, so her daughter took over her assets. The daughter decided to sell the home. At this time, our homeless senior (Phil) still had his wife and her income along with his Social Security. They managed for a while until his wife passed away. He now only has one income—his Social Security ($1,040)—which doesn’t do anything in today’s housing market. So, he and his dog have been living in the car. He loves his dog dearly and refuses to give her up. He’d rather sleep in his car than give her away.
I’m trying to find him and his dog an affordable room to rent ($500 or under). In the meantime, I’m asking for help keeping him in a hotel. We’ve been able to raise some money to put a roof over his head last week, but the funds are drying up. We need the community's help!
Any and all donations are appreciated.
We are actively searching for a more permanent solution, but it’s not easy. We put him on multiple waiting lists for housing but need to keep him safe until one of our leads becomes permanent. He’s literally been sleeping in his car with his wife’s urn and his dog.
