Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

We are reaching out on behalf of our sweet cousin Amy — a bright, resilient, and determined 24-year-old student who has faced more than her fair share of hardship, yet continues to pursue her educational dreams with incredible strength.

After experiencing significant familial loss, Amy has been navigating life, school, and adulthood largely on her own. Despite the sudden emotional and financial challenges, she’s remained committed to her education and future. She is currently a full-time student at Sacramento State, majoring in English (Pre-Credential), and is on track to graduate with her BA in Spring 2026. Her goal is to then enter the credential program to become a licensed English teacher for middle and high school students — a dream fueled by her love of learning and deep desire to support and inspire future generations.

Recently, Amy has been hit with a series of financial roadblocks that threaten to derail the progress she’s worked so hard to make. Like many students putting themselves through college, she's already juggling the high costs of textbooks and campus parking permits. And now, her laptop — a lifeline for school papers, assignments, and everything in between — has completely died.

To combat financial strain, Amy recently obtained her substitute teaching license (which also had a hefty fee) and has been hired to begin working later in August, but in the meantime the costs she’s facing now are immediate and critical (she could use our support to bridge the gap and stay on her path).

Any donation you can offer will go directly toward:

* A reliable laptop for school and substitute teaching.

* Textbooks and course materials for the semester.

* A campus parking permit.

* Basic living expenses while transitioning into her sub position.

As stated earlier, Amy is a strong and resilient young person, and like many of us, she struggles to ask for support. Therefore, as her older (not necessarily wiser) cousins, Chris and I are asking for that support on her behalf.
