Amy's Mission to Control Feral Cat Population

Hi there, my name is Amy. I'm raising money to help cover the cost of getting feral/stray cats fixed through the process of TNR. TNR is a humane and effective approach to controlling

the overpopulation of feral/stray cats. Spaying and/or neutering community feral/stray cats stops the cycle of breeding and bringing unwanted kittens into the world.

Last year a feral cat had kittens in my neighbors backyard. The feral mother then moved them under our shed. I have been feeding them since they were kittens. One will let me rub her but not pick her up. The other one is partially blind and will allow me to sit right in front of her but not rub her. She spooks easily.

Both were female and recently had kittens. I never realized how many feral cats ran around in our community of Beechcroft and Oakswest. While feeding the now mother cat's, we have had three other very pregnant cat's visit and over a handful of tomcats visit.

I would like to do something to help with the situation. I would like to help reduce the population of feral cats in our community. Any kittens found will be socialized, be seen by a vet, and adopted out. Any and all help is needed and appreciated as I can't do this on my own with a family of four and our own fur babies.

Beginning as early as five months of age each cat and kitten can go into heat every 14-21 days. Once pregnant, the gestation period is 56-65 days. They can have 2-4 litters per year. You can see that the numbers of potential kittens born grows exponentially.
