My name is Ashley Oros-Garfia, the eldest daughter of Amy Oros-Garfia. My mother suffered a

severe fall, down a flight of stairs in her home on 7/8/22. She crushed her L1 vertebrae upon

falling. She was rushed to our local hospital via ambulance as she could not stand or feel her

legs. Cheyenne Regional Medical Center was unable to perform the complex surgery required

for her injury. She was taken by ambulance to Swedish Medical Center in Denver, CO for

surgery on 7/9/22. My mom’s lower lumbar vertebrae L1-L5 were fused together to stabilize her

spine and release nerve compression. She has been in the hospital for 6 days and is being

released today 7/13/22.

My mom is a hard worker who provides for my 4 younger siblings. Unfortunately she has no health insurance;

this medical emergency has caused an immediate financial hardship and incredible stress upon

my mom and the needs of our family. Anything is much appreciated! Those of you
