Hi, my name is Amy, and I’m a 36-year-old single mom of three beautiful children living in Carson City, Nevada. I’m reaching out today with a vulnerable heart to ask for your help during a difficult time in my life.
My doctors recently discovered that I have a severely prolapsed mitral valve, a condition that requires open heart surgery to correct. After much consultation, my doctors have recommended surgery in February, which will be life-saving but also incredibly taxing on my body and heart.
As a single mom, I provide for my family by teaching piano lessons, a job I love and am passionate about. However, the recovery from heart surgery is expected to take at least 8 weeks, during which time I’ll be unable to work. This leaves me in a position where I will struggle to meet the living expenses for myself and my children during this crucial period.
I’m asking for help to cover two months of living expenses—rent, bills, groceries, and other essentials—so that I can focus on healing and being there for my kids without the added worry of how we’ll make ends meet.
The recovery will be grueling, and while I know it’s necessary for my health, the financial burden is overwhelming. Any donation, big or small, will help ease the pressure and give me the opportunity to focus on getting better and continuing to support my children through this tough time.
Your kindness and support will mean the world to me and my family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read my story and for considering a donation. If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing this page with others who might be able to help.
With gratitude,
Amy
