My name is Amy Good. I am a 57 year old Surgical Technologist. I made a decision to leave my full time job of 5 years in August 2020 to do travel assignments because the money is better and would give my 13 year old grandson (I am raising) a lifetime experience seeing the United States outside of Alabama.  Now I am stuck between a rock and a hard place and need some help.  I am the type of person who prides herself on being self sufficient but at this moment I am really stuck.  I am over 2,000 miles from home, with a broken down car that could end up costing me upwards of $8000 to get it repaired. I have to repair it because I owe too much on it to trade it in right now and I love my car and back in November just had over $2000 of work done (oil leak repaired, new struts, brakes,  and new tires) to it so it would make this trip well.   I just started my new contract on the 18th and haven't even gotten my first paycheck yet and facing this bill of repairing my car.  My 1st assignment ended abruptly on Jan 4th without notice and I have been without income from the 4th til now my 1st paycheck this coming weekend.  It's been tough to say the least.  Court Ordered Child support has not been paid since May 2020 from both parents so I have been shouldering the grandsons expenses on top of my own.  I sincerely appreciate any and all help and it will never be forgotten.
