My name is Amy McGuigan , and I am reaching out with a heavy heart and hopeful spirit! I was recently diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer and am seeking your kindness and support as I begin navigating the treatment phase. I will have an invasive double mastectomy follow by chemotherapy. Although terrified, I am working to remain strong, focused, and hopeful.

Let me begin by telling you a little about myself; I am the mother of two (Sara & Megan) and stepmother to one (Madison). These young ladies are my entire world, and I am incredibly proud to be raising such intelligent, kind, and successful humans. Although all parents are inherently important to their children, one of my daughters is special needs and I am the only mother-figure to my stepdaughter. Meaning, I truly know that I need to be on this earth to see them through highschool, prom, driving, college, weddings, adulthood and beyond.

Here comes the ask...despite insurance and savings, the medical expenses (e.g., medicine costs, supplies and copays for mri’s, scans, surgery/surgeries, lab work, hospital stays, chemotherapy, radiation costs and post-treatments) are already adding up. These costs are overwhelming and suffocating. If you can spare any amount, I promise you it will be greatly appreciated and used to pay-down the medical debt that I am currently incurring.
