Amy Jo Eskew is my daughter... an angel to her two daughters, an important family member to us all!!
At 32 years old working at her local hospital as a ER Trama/Critical Care Nurse for the last 10 years. Amy's focus has always been her patients and their families, until recently when her life drastically changed. Leaving the hospital after a long day of caring for her patients, the headache that had been nagging her all day was only getting more severe. Amy decided (with the persuasion of family and co-workers) to go to the ER for evaluation-The Results... a large mass on her brain needing immediate work up.
We had tests, consultations, and a very intense trip to the operating room to remove an 8cm tumor from her brain; the diagnosis was one no one was prepared for; a Grade 3 Malignant Glioma- a very rare an incurable brain cancer. At 32 years old, Amy will now undergo brain radiation, and chemotherapy to try and slow the recurrence of the brain cancer, on top of the additional surgeries she may require.
Our journey has just begun, Amy is now in the fight of a lifetime- and struggling to understand she may not be able to witness some of the most important life events with her daughters. Our goal is to plan on raising awareness and money to help her with the financial burdens she will incur with this journey and assist with making life as normal as possible for her and her 2 girls.
If you are able to donate, any amount -this will ease the stress of making ends meet, so she can spend what time she has here with us enjoying every precious moment with her girls.
