Surgery Fund for Amy

I have set this page up for my very good friend, Amy Brent ….  For several years, I have had to watch my vivacious, outgoing, beautiful friend suffer from constant migraines that have literally taken her life away.  This debilitating condition is difficult to understand to you & I, but imagine the feeling of having your head in a vice 24x7, and because of the pain, you are dry heaving, vomiting, can’t open your eyes because even a dim light is too bright, shaking constantly,  and other awful side effects due to the pain. The medication the doctors prescribe for her, pretty much leave her in a vegetative state once she takes them, again, taking away her ability to live a normal life.   

But there is HOPE for her …  Amy has the unique opportunity to receive a neuro stimulator – this stimulator has given an 80% success rate for people with severe migraines.  Unfortunately, her dream and work that she put into becoming an EMT is no longer a choice for her, forcing her to live off medical disability, which will not cover this type of procedure that could bring life back for her.  I, along with so many other WANT this hope for her.    This surgery is done in Dallas … They would do a trial run for 3 days to ensure it works. If it works, they will schedule her for the full blown surgery.  This procedure is around $8k.  While one person cannot make this happen for her – I feel if we each give her just a piece (big or small) – we could give her HOPE.  Will you join me in bringing life back for my friend?
