Amy's Army Against Cancer!

It's time for AMY'S AMRY TO HELP IN HER FIGHT WITH ESOPHAGEAL CANCER!

My Dear friend Amy Spencer is battling ESOPHAGEAL  CANCER for the 2nd TIME! Yes a second time! She was told in January 2019 that she was "cancer free"... then just a few months later in July
she received the terrible news that the cancer was back!

Her first round with cancer she had to have her entire esophagus removed, called an esphjectomy. They then sliced her stomach and formed it into her new esophagus which now sits in the center of her chest . At the base is a small conduit which needs to be stretched every 6 months.  

My dear, strong, friend who had battled and beat cancer once, was going to have to face it again. 

This time her Doctors told her that they could not do surgery because it was too risky, too many major arteries where they would need to cut! Right now she is completing pin-point radiation.

Amy always puts others first, anyone that knows Amy can attest to this! She loves making people laugh and would seriously go out to help any friend in need! Truly, if you ever needed a place to crash or even to live, Amy would move you in, literally! If you needed someone to lean on and lift you up...AMY IS ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU! Now it's time for us to be there for her! 

Amy is strong,  and has had such a positive outlook! Her attitude has been amazing throughout all of this. Truly I never saw it get the best of her! She never asked for anything. She was determined to kick this thing in ass!

Cancer has changed everything for her! She has to eat so differently now, she will never be able to lay down in a bed every again! My Dear friend has been sleeping in a reclining chair for a year and a half! Amy needs a special medically necessary bed that costs around $5,000!!! And guess what her insurance wont cover it!

My friend needs that bed to sleep and I hope to help make that happen through this campaign for her. I want to help her be able to afford her medical bills that are adding up! She has weekly doctors visits along with chemo, radiation, and scans. She has all sorts of different medical appointments. When were were speaking about her situation she informed me that she has around $9,000 of medical bills that need to be paid off from her first battle with cancer! This tore me up to know!

She has been out of work for over a 1.5 years! Financially it has impacted her entire family! Her supportive and loving Partner, Patrick has had to miss significant time from work to get her to and from her weekly appointments in Rochester... they live in Waterloo! 

As her friend I want to do more and I feel that this is a great way to help. It tears my heart up to see her going through this. We can help make things a little easier for her through all of this because you know if it were you.... should would be right here helping and contributing in anyway she could!
