In Support of Amy Sights

Update on Amy Denise Sights:

On Thursday, March 7, 2024, Amy Denise Sights passed away at Heart To Heart Hospice in Evansville, IN surrounded by her three children, Rylee, Chloe, & Garret. We are confident there was a celebration in heaven as Amy was greeted by her sweet, loving mother Jackie and many other relatives and friends Amy has lost in years past.

Although Amy was only at Heart to Heart Hospice for less than 48 hours, she received exceptional, professional, and great care! Heart to Heart nurses visited with Amy at her home twice a week for the last 8 weeks as well.

With support from the family and close friends Rylee, Chloe, and Garret are taking this one day at a time and are currently in process of planning a very small Celebration of Life (at a later date) per Amy’s wishes.

At this time, we request for any and all who know this sweet family to continue their prayers for them as they mourn the loss of their mother. This GoFundMe will remain open and active in hopes that additional donations are made to raise funds which will enable the children to continue living in the house until it is placed on the market for sale. Any and all considerations are greatly appreciated.

My name is Beth Trent, I wanted to update all interested in Amy Sights and her battle with Cancer. (I will leave the original post at bottom of this update) Since early spring, Amy has been going to chemo treatments regularly. She has had a few road blocks along the way such as (loss of heart function(%), blood clots, respiratory issues, fluid retention, and COVID-19.) Amy has been having the fluid drained (paracentesis) twice a week since then. During Christmas time, Amy started experiencing new symptoms/side effects causing concern the cancer may be spreading once again. This warranted a spinal tap. The oncologist confirmed Amy’s cancer had indeed spread inside the spine. As you can imagine, this was devastating news for Amy and her family. To date – Amy has stopped working which was VERY DIFFICULT to accept. She has also discontinued any and all chemo and treatments. Amy continues to have the fluid drained twice a week, hospice has been called in, and arrangements are being made for round the clock care. I am reaching out asking for donations in support of Amy, since she is unable to work and has limited funds available. I also ask you to pray for Amy, her family, and the volunteer caregivers whom will be caring for her.

Hi, my name is Beth Trent, and I am helping my friend Amy fight her 3rd battle with cancer. Amy is a proud parent of twin girls (young ladies) Rilee, and Chloe who are sophmores at IU Bloomington and a son Garrett who is a junior at North High School in Evansville. Amy's 3rd battle with cancer began in early 2022 on her spine and has since been detected in other areas of the body. This cancer has prevented her from working her full time job, which makes it difficult to pay household bills, buy groceries, etc. Please consider making a donation to help Amy and pray for Amy's comfort and healing throughout her treatments.
