A local wife, mom, and friend lost her battle with cancer this weekend and her family needs your help.

Amy was shockingly and unexpectedly diagnosed with breast cancer last year. She received chemo and radiation but ultimately decided to undergo a double mastectomy for the highest possibility of survival.

March of 2023, it was time for the dreaded PET scan to see if all of her effort and fighting had worked........ it had! Amy was in remission and no longer had this disease looming over her.

In May, Amy was not feeling well. It's bad enough to go to the hospital...... we quickly learn that Amy wasn't actually in remission. The news was devastating, we were JUST told that it was gone, she had won....... How has it, only 2 months later, aggressively turned into stage 4 and metastasized to her liver?

We said goodbye to Amy last night, July 29.

Amy worked in the medical field until the cancer took too much of a toll on her energy and sadly her life insurance policy didn't stay with her after she left. Her husband, Jason, is an A.A.Co police officer and has missed countless days of work to be by her side. He will continue to miss time while moving through the grieving process and learning how to go on without her.

They were married for 27 years. Still enjoyed going to the grocery store together, held hands regularly, still cuddled on the couch to watch TV, and truly showed each other the love and compassion they felt from day 1 until the very end. Amy also leaves behind 2 children who are having to learn life without their mom far too early.
