Amy Rainbow’s Fundraiser

Please take a read of Amy’s incredibly brave story since her original breast cancer diagnosis' back in 2021, when she was only just 26 years old.

7 months on from completing all her primary treatment, Amy is facing a very difficult path, after being diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer, with metastatic disease to her brain in June 2023.

This has now progressed in November 2023 to Dural Brain Tumours & Leptomeningeal Disease, which holds a very poor prognosis.

After too many failings throughout her NHS care, Amy found a private oncologist in the UK going forward, and she was started on her new treatment ‘Enhertu’ in December 2023. But sadly, 6 months in, this treatment has already stopped working. She has now recently received the news she’s had further progression of 8 new tumours, in the weeks waiting to start her new treatment. This meant a change to her treatment plan where she has had to endure 2 weeks of full brain radiation, and started on 2 new systemic chemotherapy & immunotherapy treatments to try and gain control of the disease.

Update; 17/3/25 - Amy’s treatment has once again stopped working & she has had more progression. Amy is having more radiotherapy starting on the 25th March which will hopefully stop the growth of the tumours, but unfortunately it won’t stop more from growing out of the targeted areas. She needs a change to the systemic treatment, however options for this are challenging as she has exhausted most options. We’re hoping her oncologist can come up with another option to give her more time with her precious children & family ❤️

This fundraiser has been set up to fund for private treatments worldwide, to give her the best chance of more TIME.. & towards making special memories for Amy & her family.
