Amy Nalls Remembrance Fund

Amy Dahme Nalls, 53, passed on Monday, March 28th, at home. In lieu of flowers, Amy would be so touched to know that her children are provided for with expenses moving forward.

Born on November 9, 1968, Amy was the daughter of Maud Peper Dahme, and the late Hans Dahme. She was brought up in Anandale, NJ and graduated from North Hunterdon Regional High School. She was currently employed at Medstar Health, where she built many friendships in a short time. Amy knew how to entertain the room and made us all laugh with her thoughts that always came out with no-filter. From her youth on Hibbler Road, to her days marathon running and working behind the bar, to enjoying weekends at the beach or home in Jersey, no matter what she was involved in her energy was infectious. Amy was the woman we could count on for anything; she was always the best at telling you what you wanted to hear and offering help and support. She was the one you could call no-questions-asked and she would be there by your side- whether you asked her to rob a bank with you or simply accompany you to the grocery store. She was truly loyal to those she loved. Family was everything to Amy. She was devoted to her children, Tucker, Natalee and Hanna. She was a proud Army mom, and was never shy to embarrass us with her zoomed-in close ups on Facebook. Many of her weekends were spent traveling to spend time with her confidant, partner in crime, and center of her world- her beloved identical twin sister Karen. They enjoyed just relaxing and having fun together, and whenever it was time to travel back to their respective homes, they’d be on the phone within minutes. During the week, she enjoyed family dinners with the Okolitas, and cozying up in her reading chair with a book and mug of tea. With a contagious smile and sense of humor that brought out the sass in everyone around her, she was so deeply cherished.

In addition to her mother, Maud, she leaves her three children, Tucker, Natalee and Hanna; her three siblings, Karen Dahme Laskey and the late Craig Laskey, Susan and Mark Okolita, and Randall Dahme. She also cherished her sister-in-law Elizabeth (Peg) Dahme, her brother-in-law Michael Adrian Nalls, her cousins Victoria Lawson and Ricardo Sanchez; and her many nieces and nephews, Jordan, Zachary, Hogan, Declan, Donivan and Cameron. She was preceded in death by her husband John Proctor Nalls and her father, Hans Dahme. Celebration of Amy's life will be offered Saturday, April 2, at 3 p.m. at the Francis J Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd W, Silver Spring, MD 2090.
