Amy Leach-Montagnani

The Leach and Montagnani families recently lost our loving wife, mother, sister, mother-in-law, aunt and dear friend.

The world lost a wonderful and amazing woman to a long battle from complications that developed with her Hodgkin's lymphoma diagnosis over 10 years ago. Amy had to endure several health issues over the past decade and was able to overcome numerous health scares including a bilateral lung transplant in 2021. She was a living miracle. Unfortunately, our miracle took her last breaths after complications from heart surgery on February 6th and has now joined her parents, Tom and Lynn, and brother, Tommy, in heaven.

Before her illness, Amy was an early childhood educator and always had an affinity for children. She was patient, thoughtful, kind, and had an amazing sense of humor. Amy was willing to listen to anything going on with a sympathetic ear. She loved her family deeply and would do anything for them. She was more concerned about others' well-being and how things may affect them than herself. Through all her numerous medical trials she kept a bright face and a positive outlook. She made sure she was there for others, regardless of what pain she was experiencing.

Amy loved all things Mickey Mouse and embraced her nickname, "Punky Brewster." She was an avid Cubs, Blackhawks, and Packers fan (no one is perfect!). At 50 years old, the world lost Amy way too young.

Donations to Amy's fund will help offset the substantial expenses related to her battle over the past decade, including medical bills and support for her husband and three loving daughters.
