Hello, my name is Amy Jo and I am an alcoholic. My sobriety date is 8-12-2023. I have spent years of my life broken and in a dark place. I have spent most of my adult life in jails and institutions and homeless on the streets. I lost all hope and was completely broken and didn't know how to live. God suddenly did for me what I couldn't do for myself. I got sober and started changing my life all thanks to God and the Bliss House. I am a good mother again, daughter, sister, and friend. I have trudged and put work into my recovery, and today I give back what's been freely given to me. I am employed today, pay my bills, and do the next right thing. I am only struggling with transportation and am trying to get a car or moped so I am able to get a better job and be able to go to different meetings and also to be able to get out and start living life on life's terms. Any help is greatly appreciated and will be grateful.
