Dear friends & family. It is with a heavy heart and humble spirit, that we are turning to you love, prayers, positive thoughts, and financial support for our daughter, Amy, and her family (Bill, Wyatt & Maizy).
As some of you may have heard, Amy has been diagnosed with localized sarcoma cancer. Her biggest joy in life is spending time with her family. If you were to ask her. she would tell you that above all else, being a wife to Bill, a mother to 13 year old son and almost 10 year old daughter, Maizy, are her proudest accomplishments in life. She loves being a wife, mom, sister, daughter, aunt, friend, and teaching children is her passion.
Amy’s story began at an alarmingly fast pace. After experiencing some discomfort in her back, she initially went to her chiropractor to have a lump looked at. He thought she had torn a muscle and treated her for 2 weeks. After no noticeable difference, she went to her MD who ordered an MRI that day (August 3rd) and a CT Scan the following day , followed by a biopsy. She now begins an aggressive treatment of chemotherapy & radiation, then surgery to remove the large tumor, followed by reconstructive rib surgery.
This has come, of course, as a total shock to all of us! We would be extremely grateful for your prayers & any financial support, and reaching out to say hello during the following chapters of the Walter’s Lives.
They will use the funds for treatment costs, housing, travel for treatment at the Mayo Clinic and everyday bills. We are very hopeful and Amy is a strong woman who is completely determined to beat this.
