Amy’s Given Her All—Now She Needs Our Support.

Help Amy Tobin Get Back on Track – She’s Always Running for Others!
Imagine dedicating your life to a sport, proving what’s possible, and helping others do the same—only to be told you can’t have the equipment you need to keep going. That’s the reality for Amy Tobin, founder of Now I Can Run, a non-profit dedicated to empowering people with disabilities through frame running.

Amy is a fierce advocate, mentor, and athlete who has spent years helping others experience the freedom of movement through adaptive sports. But now, she’s facing an unexpected roadblock—NDIS has denied her request for a new Frame Runner, the very equipment that allows her to continue racing, training, and leading by example.

The Frame Runner Is Here—But Amy Can’t Use It
Amy’s old Frame Runner broke while she was racing the 5000m in Copenhagen last year—a race she took on to show the world what’s possible for athletes with disabilities.

Since then, she’s been incredibly grateful to borrow a yellow prototype frame that’s kept her moving—but it’s far from ideal. While Amy appreciates having access to it, the prototype isn’t built for her and it’s not race-ready.

Crucially, it lacks key safety features—most importantly, it has no brakes. That makes it not only difficult for Amy to manage, but also a safety risk for the people helping her transfer on and off the frame.

This borrowed frame has helped bridge the gap, but it’s not a long-term solution—and it’s preventing Amy from training at her best or safely returning to racing.

Now, a custom-fitted Frame Runner, built specifically for Amy, has arrived from Denmark. It’s here and ready—but NDIS has denied the funding, and Amy can’t access it without our help.

Why This Matters
Amy doesn’t just run for herself—she runs to show what’s possible.

As a Frame Running athlete, Amy is a national voice for inclusion, showing that mobility challenges don’t have to limit potential.

But even more than that, Amy runs for others.

She uses her Frame Runner to compete in major races, raising vital funds to support children and young adults with disabilities. Thanks to her efforts, aspiring frame runners have received bikes, coaching, and sponsorships—opportunities they would not have had otherwise.

Without her Frame Runner, Amy can’t raise those funds, coach her athletes, or lead the way for the next generation of inclusive sports.

How You Can Help
We’re raising $11,000 to purchase Amy’s custom Frame Runner so she can get back on track—literally and figuratively.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help keep Amy racing, coaching, and fighting for disability inclusion in sport.
