We have been overwhelmed with gratitude for all of you asking for ways in which you can help during this difficult time. Amy, Diego and their two daughters, one and two years old, relocated to Paradise at the beginning of September. They were staying with us while they looked for work and housing. Everything they owned was in storage in Paradise. Diego found a job welding in Red Bluff. Amy was expected to start work at the beginning of December up in Paradise. The morning of the fires, Diego rushed back to Paradise to help Amy and the girls evacuate. The authorities wouldn't let Diego up past Neal Road. He had to park their 2010 Mazda on Neal Road and run up to meet Amy who was stuck in traffic on Oliver and Skyway. Miraculously, he found Amy, they got in the car together and they made it out of the fire storm, safety to Chico. Unfortunately, they've lost their second car and all of their possessions, none of which are insured. Please help them get back on their feet. All contributions will go toward replacing their vehicle and all of their personal possessions. Any little bit helps.
