Amy Adams

Tuesday afternoon Amy had not been feeling well with back pains and went to the ER in Round-up; they had sent her home where she continued to go down hill. She was having a hard time breathing with a whole list of other ailments that were looming in the darkness.

Early the next morning Jason had to call the ambulance because she had fully collapsed unresponsive. Once at the Hospital they medi-flighted her to Billings because her blood sugars where over 800, not even able to read on the test.

Shortly after they landed in Billings she went into cardiac arrest where they did CPR on her and took her straight to the ICU. They put her directly on the vent and they thought she was stabilized; however her body was fighting the ventilator to breathe on its own when the vent was trying to do it for her.

As the day progressed they had thought she was making progress. At 6 pm that evening she went back into another cardiac arrest event where they had to do another four rounds of CPR on her.

After this event they placed her of life support with ecmo (which was pumping and beating her heart for her) and the ventilator. Slowly the past few days she has been making progress. Her blood sugars are stable and today (7/25) she came off ecmo because her heart recovered and wanted to beat on its own. ❤️ Right now all we know she went into DKA, and pneumonia, otherwise we are just waiting for labs.

This is a marathon and not a sprint but it has been a blessing to see the little wins every day. The Money will go directly to Amy and Jason to help them with medical bills and everyday life. We are unsure what each day brings but Jason is greatful for all the love and support that he has behind him and we will update as more information is known.
