update : she knows darn it

Seems like Tiffany, my bff, was looking out, foreseeing the demise of my van, & trying to provide a surprise miracle. (pretty sure I've been avoiding thinking about it bc that = major anxiety). After van issues that arose yesterday, I was told about the GoFundMe ❤️‍ I have so many mixed emotions surrounding it but am hugely grateful for & appreciative of the ones that care enough to do things like this without me knowing ❤️‍ I've kinda sucked with words lately but here's my attempt to word my thoughts about my situation.

* Have spent $300-400 in past few weeks attempting to 'band-aid' it

*Check engine flashing again currently

*Transmission slipping bad, reverse only works part of the time

*Hate asking for help bc I know most are struggling atm

*Working non-stop at the restaurant currently but doesn't = enough

*Current van = endless money pit/just throwing away money

*after bills & helping Colt while he's out of work = not enough $

*It's a constant cause of stress

*The anxiety from worrying about it is causing me to shut down, avoid everything, & sleep

*Worry about it dying on road somewhere, it has majority of my belongings inside & can't be locked securely

*The stress is consuming most of my energy

*I have way too many things on my plate that need that energy

*Major obligations coming up that require travel (TTM)

*Waste of $ to continue temporary fixes on van

*Worry of current van reliability is preventing me from accepting gigs that would pay well

*Need another option/reliable transportation

*Have spent hours talking self out of asking for help bc the thought of it gives me even more anxiety

*Out of ideas/options

With all of that being said, thank you for your help ❤️‍ I'm forever thankful for the amazing souls in my life

Hey y’all, my name is Tiffany and I’m starting this go fund me to help one of my absolute favorite humans that has ever existed on this earth. I’ve seen Amy go to unmeasurable lengths to support and be there for the ones she loves and for this amazing community, I was lucky to be brought into by her.

Many of y’all have seen Amy’s current vehicle/house, but if you haven’t let me tell you about it. The car itself has out lived its lifetime more than once. She currently drives a minivan that most days she also sleeps in. Yes she has a home base which would be my place, but with her constant travel it’s only made sense for her to have a vehicle that is also her house on wheels.

Currently I’m a little stressed and scared that she will end up stranded on the side of some highway state away, in the past two weeks she has had to put a egg in the radiator to stop a leak, the van left her sitting last week in Greensboro at a friends house until she changed the gasket kit, both of her sliding doors are trash. One when you open falls off, the second one it’s now hard to open and slide, most days she has to open it from the inside through the drivers door. She was hit by a dump trunk in Florida pre LoveBurn. Needless to say the van is a tank but its day is coming where she will no longer crank or run. I would hate to see all of Amy’s hard work and commitments not be met, if and when her van may no longer work. Yes she could get up the money working, and will buy why not help her out. If a collective lot of us donated and allow a peace of mind with a reliable ride, why wouldn’t we. She is an important fixture in my life , my family, my best friend, and my mentor. I know for a few of y’all she is the same for y’all.
