AMTA Conservatory Fund

The American Musical Theatre Academy of New York City has offered me a scholarship to attend their three-month conservatory program. AMTA has graciously waived half of my tuition fees, this campaign is to help cover the rest of the cost. I am working and performing full-time to save the funds necessary for rent, food, and extra expenses while in NYC, so I am seeking help from the community to give me the one final push to make this dream come true! I knew from a young age that performing was my passion; I was accepted into the American Music and Dramatic Academy of Los Angeles as a Sophomore in high school, but committing to the $100,000 tuition was impossible. After graduating from Basile High School in 2014 then Michelle's Studio of Dance in 2015, I have travelled around Louisiana seeking performance opportunities and sustaining myself as an independent artist. I've been quite privileged to find success in my endeavors with the Contemporary Arts Center in NOLA, Jambalaya the Musical, various productions at Cutting Edge Theatre, several dance concerts, independent music performances, and teaching jobs. I have achieved this much with no prior formal theatre training. By attending AMTA I will be provided with the opportunity to learn more about my craft to proceed with knowledge and confidence in the world of theatre. The program includes training in jazz, ballet, and tap dance, vocal lessons, acting through song, stagecraft, business and marketing, audition technique, and much more.
