The Hurricane made landfall just east of our Corpus Christi facility as a category 4 late Friday night. We were very fortunate that everyone survived the high winds and our Corpus Christi facility sustained no damage. We are operational with full power although the port is still closed.
The current situation with the storm is less promising. The constant downpour has resulted in mass flooding in Houston and surrounding areas, and the worse is still to come. There could be in excess of 48” of rain, an entire years amount in a few days.
The storm has stalled over the region and is only expected to dissipate by Thursday.
Several of our colleagues have had to abandon their homes due to flooding and have lost a lot of personal belongings, some that could never be replaced.
This is a trying time for all our employees and I wish to commend all those who have been doing everything they can to ensure the safety of everyone. The heart felt support is unparalleled to anything I have seen and it makes me proud to work with you all.
We are ‘AmSpec Strong’ and will get through this together.
The money recieved will be equally disperses to the 50 employees that have suffered damages and who do not have flood insurance.
