Please support a unique opportunity for 10 students to study the effects of climate change on owls. These promising high school students from AMS II High School in the South Bronx will travel to Portal, Arizona to work with researchers to study the nesting and breeding behavior of 6 species of tiny owls. The trip is organized by the Earthwatch Institute and will inform conservation strategies for the species. This field research will guide the students' current Environmental Science studies and build the awareness, skills and confidence needed to thrive academically and professionally. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for students who have demonstrated true dedication and resiliency.
