Medical bills for Roo

My name is Cheyanne and this is an incredibly hard post for me to make. About three years ago my husband and I were trying to start a family, only to be met with a loss a little more than 2 months into our first pregnancy. We found ourselves lost in anger and sadness like we had never experienced before. Months went on and we were left with a void in our hearts which eventually got us discussing the idea of welcoming a puppy into our family so we could finally find that someone that we were so eager to love and spoil. The day we found Roo she was just 8 weeks old but that sweet little girl changed our worlds for the better overnight, bringing us so much joy and making all of our dark days finally start to feel so much brighter. This little girl is so full of life, loves anyone and everyone fiercely. We have since had a baby boy and Roo has been amazing with him from day one and their bond is already so beautiful and we were so excited for them to be able to grow up together being only a year apart. Roo loves dogs, Roo loves people, she loves her baby brother and she loves us. She is a girl who simply loves to love. She’s our first baby. She is our family. She steals hearts of everyone that she meets because those huge ears, playful personality and tons of kisses are irresistible.

About a week ago we noticed Roo keeping to herself a little more, having less interest in the things that she loves, drinking more water than normal and urinating more often. We took her to the animal hospital in beliefs that she had a UTI. Three hours later our worlds were flipped upside down, learning that our sweet playing puppy has a mass and very concerning lab work. We were immediately referred to an oncologist a day later who has only confirmed our worst fears. In a matter of a week our beautiful baby girl has gone from running and playing to being incredibly Ill. Her prognosis doesn’t look promising and everything is very touch and go, wait and see at this point.

As many people are aware, vet bills rack up quite quickly. Our baby girl is 2 1/2 years old next week. We will never push her to live just for our sake but we are determined to give her a chance to let us know if she wants to fight and have began some treatment. Of course when it rains it pours, due to other life circumstances recently our finances are tight and honestly ANYTHING would help us out right now while trying to help our baby girl fight the unthinkable.

If you are unable to donate all we ask if for you to pass along this message and to please keep our sweet puppy and family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you so much.

UPDATE: It is with the heaviest heart that I have to inform you all, last night our little puppy took a turn for the worst and is no longer here with us. Our hearts are broken at the loss of our Roo. The outpour of generosity and support we have received this week has blown us away and we want to thank every single person who has been supportive of us during this difficult time. With that being said, I have lowered our goal since treatments are no longer an option. In the last 5 days we did rack up 3k in vet bills between trying to diagnose and treat our lover girl. We are still accepting donations to pay off those costs. Thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts.
