Amputation surgery for MARS orphan Hope

Tax deductible

Our sweet girl Hope needs her left front leg amputated and her surgery is scheduled for August 19th. She has been having more and more pain and no longer plays like she use to. We have consulted with our veterinarians and they say the best thing we can do for her is amputate her leg so she can go without pain.

MARS took in Hope, her puppy and an adult male akita in March after they were abandoned with no food, water or shelter and were picked up by a concerned trash truck driver who saw their plight.

Hope was severely underweight, infected by nearly every known parasite, had a terrible UTI and mastitis. After review of the x-rays by a veterinary orthopedic specialist, it was determined that the elbow on her left front leg is so severely damaged from a previous injury, that it cannot be saved. MARS has incurred costly veterinary bills for all her care and medication.

Now that Hope is healthy, she can undergo the surgery on her front leg. Can you please help MARS with the additional medical expenses that will be needed for the surgery and recovery? Any amount will make a difference in the life of this poor girl who has suffered immeasurably at the hands of her previous irresponsible owner.
