Full leg amputation relief & recovery for Bob Shea
Donation protected
As many of you who know my grandfather Bob, might know has been diagnosed Peripheral Artery Disease caused by diabetes, so far of which has lead to the amputation of two of his toes, he’s now nearing the end stage of it, Critical Limb Ischemia, leading to leg amputation. He has for months now been in and out of the hospital, been in tremendous stress and physical pain, as well as having lost his ability to work, leaving the household struggling financially due to him bringing the sole income in. Within a few days he will be undergoing surgery as this will begin the long journey of recovery and rehabilitation as well as renovations to the house to make it accessible for him in the future.
There will be a great amount of unknown and uncertainty as Bob heads towards his long road to recovery. He will be out of work for several weeks/months, as he undergoes rehabilitation until he is able to get a prosthetic. While doing so our family must work on making their home accessible to his new life. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated as we try to get through this difficult change together.
