*UPDATE*
As of today, 04/11/2024, Feidha has had her stitches out and her wound is healing exactly as it should. She is mobilising unbelievably well and is very very fast. She is loving life in her new home and knows that if she meows she’ll get lots of kisses and cuddles. She loves going for a visit to her grannies house and her playful nature has started to come through. She absolutely loves her food and biscuits are her favourite! Our final bill total was £689 which we have reached with the help of this gofundme and cash donations we also kindly received. We can’t thank everyone enough for their generosity and helping us to save Feidha. She is making the most of her wee life and has adapted amazingly and it’s all thanks to everyone who donated. Thank you from us all!
Hi! I’m Rebekah and for the past month my mum and I have been looking after a wee stray kitten. We have slowly been getting her more and more comfortable with ourselves so she can come live with us. However, up until yesterday, we haven’t been able to have her fully comfortable with staying in the house. She comes to us for food when we call her but is still too timid to be touched or kept in. She sleeps outside in an overgrown bush that protects her from the weather and keeps her safe.
Sadly, during storm Ashley overnight, Feidha was outside hiding in her usual spot and has gotten her leg stuck in a plastic chair. When we found her, her leg was in bad shape and we rushed her to the vets immediately.
Her leg is badly broken and even had her bone sticking out. Due to how long she has been stuck the limb is dead - our only options are to amputate or have her put to sleep. We absolutely refuse to put such a beautiful, funny little cat to sleep and so we decided to amputate her leg.
The surgery is estimated at £800, even though we both work full time, we are struggling to pay this bill. We hope that if anyone can spare a pound or 2 then we can help pay for her surgery. Our goal is £800 but any money raised above that will be donated to Crossriggs Veterinary Clinic in Cumnock because of their kind and caring nature and support they have given us.
Crossriggs accepted our emergency phone call when they only had an hour till they shut. They waited for us and kept Feidha in overnight to keep her comfortable and safe. Her surgery is today - 22/10/2024.
Feidha is such a lovely wee character and it pains us to know she was trapped and we had no idea. She will now be living with us permanently as she won’t be able to go back outside after her operation. We are hoping that during her time in recovery being pampered and spoiled will settle her into life as a house cat. She deserves a chance at life and this operation will give her exactly that.

Wow! £400! That is amazing! We can’t thank you all enough! Feidha had her surgery today and has pulled through! She has a long road of recovery ahead of her but we are confident she’s going to make it! We are so thankful for all funds we have raised and there is still lots of time to donate if you still want to! We will continue to update everyone on Feidha’s recovery
