I've been independent for most of my life. I pride myself in being a strong person who has worked very hard for the things I have. I took the biggest, scariest leap moving to Sacramento this past summer for my job with the Sacramento Kings. But after some adjusting, the fear I had of a living in new place has gone and I couldn't have fallen more in love with this city. I knew the next step in making my journey official was finding my forever home here. And I did. My offer was accepted last week and I started the loan process.

Then I hit a bump.

I just barely missed a better type of loan because of my debt to profit ratio. Because of student loans, a car payment, and my credit card, I was over the necessary 45% and below. But my lender presented me with a simple fix. Paying off my credit card would get me over this hump and into the rate I needed. The balance is at $3000, which seems small, but I can't make that value up within this month.

I spend most of my time doing things for other people and I really want to buy this home for myself. For those of you who know me well, asking for help makes me uncomfortable.
