Amos Morgan Home Going Celebration

We the family of Amos Morgan would like to open up to our community of family and friends for your support in this extremely difficult time.

On October 4, 2022, We received the news that our beloved Amos Morgan has gained his wings. The cause of death is unknown at this time. After receiving the news, family members drove from Dallas Tx to Monroe La to tell his mother her baby boy is no longer with us. This will be the 3rd family member that my family will have to lay to rest within months apart.

Amos’s mother Althedia Morgan just laid her brother and sister to rest in the SAME day having a double funeral. We are all still coping the best we can with their passing. We can only image the grief one would have to endure with losing a brother, a sister and now a son in the same year. We are all holding each other up to make it through and see that Amos has a very nice Home Going Celebration.

About Amos Morgan
For those of you that knew Amos, You would agree that he was a gentle soul. A man of few words with a kind and gentle spirit. He loved his family and friends.

Amos attended and graduated from Wossman High School. He was also the Drum Major for The Wossman Wildcat Marching Band. His love for music was grand.
He married the love of his life Heather Lane Morgan.
Amos Morgan will truly be missed.

How donations will be applied
We are gathering funds from family however, the expenses that we are encountering are adding up to be more than what has been gathered so far.

Amos lived in Dallas Tx so we are now up against transporting his body back home to Monroe Louisiana where the funeral services will be held.

With everything calculated so far the expenses are around $6000.

Any donations received will go directly towards:
*Transporting Amos’s body from Dallas to Monroe

*Selecting a Casket

*Funeral and Burial Arrangements

*Funeral Reception/Repass

*Venue to hold the funeral reception/Repass

Dates of Service
At this time we are looking to set these dates for the services but will make an announcement once all details are final.
