My name is Victorina Solares, a member of Amor Perruno, a non-profit foundation in Chiquimulilla, Guatemala. In Chiquimulilla (pronounced “chee-kee-moo-LEE-yah”), there are no state-funded animal control services, leaving the care of stray animals unregulated. As a result, many dogs and cats in this area are stray, injured, starved, and uncared for. Amor Perruno is a team of volunteers and veterinarians who search for stray animals and provide free medical care and shelter. This non-profit is entirely community-funded since there are no easily accessible routes to obtain state funding for non-profits in Chiquimulilla.

This fundraiser is organized in the United States by me as an active member with all the donations collected through GoFundMe. These funds are regularly sent to Guatemala to provide urgent care for stray dogs who are injured and suffering from diseases. We currently have 15 dogs in our care and hope to continue providing more dogs with care and shelter with the help of your donations.
