Amira's Trans Asylum Legal Fund
Donation protected
Hello, you may remember us from last year's campaign and the Queer2Queer Trans Asylum Auction for Amira's living expenses and transition costs.
Your generous support has allowed Amira to live, stay in her home, and continue her transition while she awaits the outcome of her asylum case.
Now 9 months after Amira's right to work was removed by the government, she has been given a date for her substantive interview with the Home Office. This will decide whether or not Amira will be allowed to stay in the UK.
This is why we are here again asking for your generous support. This time we are aiming to raise £1000 to create a legal fund for Amira. This will allow us to hire a solicitor to take on Amira's case to give her the best possible shot at a positive outcome.
If you are as disgusted as we are with this week's UK supreme court judgement, and you've had the pleasure of meeting Amira, or if you just want to support a trans woman and asylum seeker in need, please consider supporting our campaign.
