Amira's College Dream: A Mother's Determination
Donation protected
My name is Temica and I am reaching out to ask for support as I work to help my daughter Amira to attend Louisiana State University this fall.
If you are a parent, you probably know the challenge of navigating the cost of out-of-state tuition-especially when the dream is big, and the resources are limited. I'll be honest: I hesitated to even create this fundraiser. But a dear friend reminded me, Its not about you-it's about your child, the chance to live her dream".
I'm a single mother. I just finished my Bachelors degree in 2023, a journey that took me 21 years to complete. There were moments I wanted to tell Amira, "Maybe we just cant do this" But how could I ask her to let go of something I fought so hard to achieve myself?
Pride almost kept me silent. But I'm reminded of Proverbs 11:2-" When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom."
I truly believe that God will provide for all our needs according to his riches in glory but I also know that he works through people. So here I am taking a leap of faith, and doing what I can to support her.
If you should feel moved to donate, many thanks. And if you can't give, please share this message-spreading the word would mean just as much.
The goal is to get her through this freshman year, as we work hard to secure scholarships and other resources for the years ahead
Thank you and may your generosity return to you tenfold.
With gratitude,
Temica
