Help and Support Amir Pakzad
Dear family and friends
Amir is a remarkable human being. A kind and thoughtful husband, father, brother, and friend. He has always put his family and community first. A Real Estate and loan agent by trade, Amir has served the community and friends to the best of his ability. Tragically, Amir was recently diagnosed with a serious physical and neurological condition. This is a disease that causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells, causing uncontrollable movements, deterioration of cognitive abilities, and emotional problems. So, to our friends, family, and the wider community, we are reaching out to you for your help in supporting our dear Amir.
Amir was just a teenager when he emigrated to the US in 1978. After receiving his accounting and finance degree at San Francisco State University, he started his career in the real estate and loan market.
Anyone that knows Amir, knows how much he loves his wife and children. Jaleh, his wife of 25 years, has been with him through thick and thin, all the while making sure to raise their three children, in a loving environment.
Amir started exhibiting strange symptoms and physical discomfort starting in December 2020. After a great deal of back and forth with doctors and specialists and several visits to the emergency rooms, and many tests, the family received the news about his test results being abnormal and told of the devastating news of his diagnosis. He is presently being cared for at the Adventist health in St. Helena, however, his physical and mental faculties have declined considerably. Due to his involuntary bodily movements, Amir needs to be watched at all times to make sure he does not fall.
This situation has been extremely difficult for his family, especially the children who have grown increasingly distraught as they cannot visit their father due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Nothing is more important to Amir than the well-being of his family. He always made sure they are provided for but the onset of this rare condition has dramatically altered that. Along with the cost of their living expenses, their medical expenses are on the rise. Amir’s family and friends have been contributing towards medical expenses; however, they now need your help as these expenses are rising.
All funds contributed will go directly to Amir’s medical expenses and life’s necessary living expenses as they have no income since Amir no can work and he was the sole income provider for his family. We hope this will help ease their mind from having to worry about medical bills and financial insecurity at this difficult time. The goal amount has been set by taking into consideration the several expenses that this family has already and will continue to incur due to this disease.
Your support and prayers are a blessing for Amir and his family. God bless you all.
