Amika’s fundraiser
Donation protected
Amika was sadly savagely attacked on Friday the 23rd of May by an XL Bully type dog just minutes from her home. The dog pushed the gate open and ravaged poor Amika and her dad too. The dog latched onto Amika, dragging her into the middle of the road tearing her neck to pieces and puncturing her muscles. Her dad tried desperately to save her and was dragged into the road and bitten quite badly during the attack.
She was left fighting for her life in the animal hospital where it was not looking good for her.
Five days after the attack after a rapid decline Amika sadly lost her fight and had to be put to sleep.
Amika was the kindest, sweetest dog ever. She was fifteen and a half and suffered from blindness and several other age related health issues.
Amika sadly lost her best pal Milo less than a year ago to a short lived battle with aggressive cancer.
Amika’s loving parents are pensioners and really struggling with this heartbreaking ordeal, while her dad is trying to recover from the trauma and significant injuries that he sustained during the attack.
The police are involved with the case but we are unsure at this point of the outcome.
Amika wouldn’t hurt a fly and is loved deeply by her family and everyone in her community.
The treatment, hospital stay and end of life care costs will be astronomical and far beyond the means of the state pension that her parents receive.
If by any chance you can help we would all be eternally grateful. Any donation big or small will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for reading this and if you are able to help a big thank you.
