Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Amigos Alados (see https://amigosalados.org/) in our 20th year of operation! Amigos Alados is an international pen pal program that brings students in the western United States, Canada, and Mexico together in the study of migratory birds that we share.

More than 1,500 students in 64 first through sixth grade classes are participating in the program during the 25-26 school year. Over the 19 years we have been working, we have served over 13,000 students.

As Co-director, I have always worked without pay, but your donations help to pay for things such as teacher manuals, the printing of pen pal photos and educational materials, Ornithologist-for-a-Day backpacks, the sending of letters and photos by DHL and the US Postal Service, Family Fun Day (a children's birding and nature festival) in Point Reyes Station, and the salary of our Co-Director/Project Coordinator in Mexico, Faby Favela, as well as the rent for her office and expenses for traveling to our schools in Jalisco.

Our fiscal sponsor, Environment for the Americas, works to connect diverse people to bird conservation across the Western Hemisphere through education, outreach and research.
