Thank you to all our supporters who, over the last 18 months, have enabled us to continue our care for the village street cats through lock-downs and restrictions.
By February 2020  all the female cats had been spayed and since then no new village kittens have needed care. Several Toms, having no-one to 'play with,' moved on voluntarily.
Three new kittens arrived from further afield. Two females are now spayed. One cute young Tom, Rambo, remains to be helped.
All have located safely in protected gardens.
Recently two kittens were re-homed from a farm to a house and garden that needed rodent control. Both are now spayed and earning their keep.
September's disturbing, but short-lived change in policy by the Town Hall was remedied after discussions with the Authorities and representations by supporters. Sadly, one ailing female cat was removed but the rest of the stable population of around 20 remain safe.
Food at even 15 cents per day per cat costs almost 1100 Euros each year and Vet bills and medications of 400 Euros means our funds are running low.
In these difficult times any support that you may be able to offer will, as always, be much appreciated.
We thank you for your continued interest and support.

My name is Dave Purvis. For almost 5 years, with the help of friends and supporters, I have a been trying to care for the street cats of the village of Fornalutx in the Soller Valley of Mallorca.  In the Winter this could mean looking after up to 40 animals in various locations.

As well as feeding them, we arrange medical treatment when possible, have neutered over 20 cats, and have found homes for around another 20 kittens.  And to some we have to say a sad goodbye when their time has come.

Donations will go towards daily food costs and medical support.
Currently food costs are around 50 Euros per month and sterilization costs around 50 Euros per animal.

In addition the new local Administration has indicated the possibility of establishing a Feeding Station and a "Catch, Sterilize and Release" program, similar to those operating in other local towns.
Donations will also go towards pursuing this project.
Many thanks to Neil Wilson of Restaurant Molon for managing donations.

Many thanks for your kind support.
