Many of you know Ms Amie- she teaches our toddlers in Room 8A and is the Program Coordinator for our building. She recently experienced a fall resulting in a hamstring tear and avulsion, where the bone tears away from the pelvis. It was repaired with emergency muscle surgery and surgical bone anchors. This type of surgery requires a recovery period of  at least 6-8 weeks of full immobilization with the use of an immobilizer brace and up to 6 months of therapy and rehabilitation. Her husband Aaron is working, as well as providing full time care. She is hoping to be back at work sometime in January. In the meantime, we have set up this GoFundMe page in the hopes of easing some of their financial worry-to help with medical bills, groceries, and other expenses related to her recovery.
