Amie Knight needs our help!

Donation protected
First things first, please do not share this with Amie, or on facebook, as she will probably kill me for doing this! BUT, she needs our help!

Amie joined the McKenney photography team back in 2012, and has been an integral part of our success. I certainly could not do this without her! Many of you have had the opportunity to work with Amie over the years, and all of the clients I talk too love working with her. I am certainly lucky to have married into the family and have her join the business with me. Not only is Amie and amazing sister in law and business partner, she is an amazing person. She always puts everyone else's needs ahead of her own, and would do anything to help someone in need.

Earlier this year, Amie was diagnosed for a second time with trigeminal neuralgia. Trigeminal neuralgia is  a facial pain syndrome and is often described as "the most terrible pain known to man". Trigeminal neuralgia is characterized by a sudden (paroxysmal) attack of facial pain described as intense, sharp, like an electric-shock, or stabbing. The pain is most commonly felt in the cheekbone, most of the nose, upper lip and upper teeth and, in some people, it also extends to the lower lip, teeth, and chin. Pain is usually felt on one side of the face (unilateral) and lasts from a few seconds to two minutes.Being diagnosed with this disease once is tough enough, but a 2nd bout is very rare.

I do not do it justice, so here is a real life description from Amie's Blog

This really goes into detail about what this disease is and what it is like to live with it. To know what she has been through, and the pain she has been living with is truly heart breaking. But she has not let it stop her. She has continued to live her life to the fullest. But it has not been easy, many days the pain is just too much, not allowing her to even get out of bed. Treatment options are very limited, and often surgery is the only option. After much discernment, Amie and her family have decided to once again to opt for a brain surgery called Micro vascular Decompression Surgery. Her surgery date is scheduled for January 20th. Any surgery is risky, but brain surgery is especially risky. This was a tough decision, and a scary one for Amie to make. Because of COVID protocols, no one is allowed to be with her before or during recovery. As you can imagine, this is a very stressful and scary time for her family.

This is where you come in. As you can imagine, there is an enormous costs that comes along with a surgery of this nature. Even after insurance, there will be many medicals bills to pay. Amie will also be out of work for 10-12 weeks.I want to be able to bless her and her family with a little something to help them get through this time.
