Amie Baldwin Memorial Fund

Amie used to talk in her sleep. Once, during a nap, she turned to our youngest sister and said, "I feel like an octopus pulled out of a jar." It became a joke among our family, something we would say when we had nothing else to say. And it's how I feel now, planning her funeral a month before her 23rd birthday.  
There is no amount of money that will make her death easier, but funeral costs are the last thing my family wants to worry about right now. If you feel so inclined and if you have the means, please consider donating. Please do not donate if you don't have the money to spare; I know Amie wouldn't want anyone to do that.
I can't seem to stop thinking of stories of her right now.  The one that I keep returning to is that she used to call me and ask "nursing questions" (I'm a nurse), which sometimes didn't have to do with nursing at all. Here are a few of my favorite:

-"why do i have a cold when it's warm and nice out?"
-"how many mph does blood go?"
-"how do you treat the bubonic plague?"
-"do sick people smell different from healthy people?"
-"is frostbite gross?"
-"If a patient is comatose, do you brush their teeth or just let them have stinky teeth?"
-"Why do babies sleep so much? They don't even do anything."

She asked a million of these, and I don't remember most of them. I wish I did. I don't want to forget the way she sometimes tripped over her words because her tongue was too big for her mouth or the way she smiled when she threatened you with a public beheading (something she did often when I told her I was too busy to play video games). I don't want any of you to forget your memories of her. Even if you don't donate, please feel free to share stories or photos of her either publicly or privately.
