My name is Amber Williams, and I am the writer, director, and producer of Amidst All The Noise—my debut short film, which I’m creating this summer alongside a talented cast and dedicated crew.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about writing coming-of-age stories centered on young Black women—stories I rarely saw growing up, and still don’t see enough of today. Having worked in TV, film, and entertainment for nearly a decade, and having obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree in Writing for Film and Television, I am excited to begin branching out to create and develop projects that highlight my passion, expertise and skillset. This film is born from a dream that began years ago: to create and bring emotionally rich stories about young Black women to life.

Amidst All The Noise is a love story between Zahra & Zion—two people who find themselves gravitating towards each other despite the weight of their fears, past experiences, and unresolved emotions. Inspired by a blend of real-life moments and imaginative possibilities, this film explores the question: What if we moved beyond our doubts and silenced the noise that tells us that we’re not worthy of love? My hope is that audiences will resonate with Zahra and Zion's journey, and maybe even, find the courage to move beyond the obstacles that hold them back from what they truly want.

This story is a celebration of vulnerability, self-love, reflection, and of course, Black Love. I’d be honored if you would consider supporting to help bring it to the big screen.
