Please support my journey to Miss California 2018!
This past January, I competed in a preliminary local pageant, and earned the title of Miss Silicon Valley. I competed in various categories of competition including: interview, on-stage question, lifestyle & fitness, talent (Tahitian dancing), and evening gown. I earned $1,800 in scholarship!
As a part of my year in service as Miss Silicon Valley, I have a platform focused on mental health advocacy. In the past couple of months as Miss Silicon Valley I have volunteered with numerous organizations focused on adolescent mental wellness in my local community such as, SafeSpace, the Eating Disorders Resource Center, Stanford Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Additionally, this Spring I will be a guest speaker at Stanford Medicine’s annual conference for Adolescent Mental Wellness.
In order to participate in the Miss California competition, I am raising money for the Miss America Organization’s national philanthropy, the Children’s Miracle Network. Donations will go towards providing the best care for kids with terminal illness.
I am also raising money to support the Miss America Organization. It is important for me to collect as much money as possible, because the contestants who raise the most amount of money get priority in choosing their order in competition at Miss California.
If you are able to donate and support my campaign for Miss California, no matter how big or small, I am sending out a signed Miss Silicon Valley autograph card! I would greatly appreciate this, as this is a goal I have set for myself this year and I have been working very hard in my community. I have come this far and would like to give it my all in opportunity to compete for Miss California!
