Ami Miller Corell has been a beloved teacher and mentor at Hammondsport Central School for 25 years, touching the lives of countless students and colleagues. As a cheerleading coach, tennis coach for both boys and girls, Drama Club leader, Yearbook Advisor, and Class Advisor, Ami poured her heart into every role she took on. She inspired students to try new things, taught them to cook and explore new foods—her "no thank you bites" are legendary—and encouraged everyone around her to pursue their passions. Ami was a true cheerleader for life, always urging others to experience "all the things" and to reach for their dreams.

Recently, Ami faced a cancer diagnosis that led her to take a medical retirement. While this has been a difficult transition, her impact continues to resonate throughout the community. To honor Ami’s legacy and the joy she brought to so many, we are creating a scholarship in her name. This scholarship will be awarded at Hammondsport Central School and Campbell Savona High School, supporting students who embody Ami’s love for life, involvement in extra-curricular activities, and dedication to helping others. The selection criteria, set by her family and the scholarship committees, will reflect the values Ami championed every day.
