AMI, like Umami

Tax deductible
We all enjoy listening to our dear friend Corey Quinn engage in insightful dialogue with the likes of AWS' own Jeff Barr in his "Screaming in the Cloud" podcasts.  But it pains me to hear Corey tripping over the same simple acronym time and again: AMI.

As a civilized consumer of the cloud, I am well aware that AMI is a two-syllable word that is pronounced like "mommy" or "salami", yet Corey insists on pronouncing all three letters individually, as one might the "F.B.I." or "U.S.A."

Fortunately, we have an opportunity to correct this. Corey has agreed to pronounce the term AMI correctly for an entire episode of "Screaming in the Cloud" if we can collectively raise $1,000 for Autistic Self Advocacy Network Inc in one week.

The Autistic Self Advocacy Network seeks to advance the principles of the disability rights movement with regard to autism. ASAN believes that the goal of autism advocacy should be a world in which Autistic people enjoy the same access, rights, and opportunities as all other citizens. We work to empower Autistic people across the world to take control of our own lives and the future of our common community.

Won't you save my ears and kick in a donation?
