At the age of 24, Ami was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, she has been fighting the disease with the help of wonderful doctors at MD Anderson. Recently, she started on an infusion treatment every 3 weeks that has had great results so far. In 2022, Ami made the difficult decision to leave her work in order to better focus on healing and taking care of herself.

Unfortunately, without warning this week, Jacob’s work laid him off. This leaves the two of them with only two weeks to figure out insurance, as well as how to pay all their bills until they are able to secure new jobs - rent, pet care, and not to mention the multiple hospital and medical bills for Ami among others.

If you’ve met Ami, you know exactly how big her heart is. She’s selfless to a fault, caring above all else, never once putting the needs or wellbeing of herself before she first takes care of others. She’s made lasting impressions in so many different areas of so many lives, flying in the face of the hardships she’s endured to make sure her life is spent in service of others. She would never ask for this herself, so we’re doing it for her and Jacob.
