More information about Dementia UK: Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia. By supporting our charity, you can help us grow the number of specialist dementia nurses, giving more families a lifeline. With your help, no one will have to face dementia alone.

my uncle Paul scanlon passed away in January, he was diagnosed with early onset dementia many years ago and it was incredibly difficult on everyone in the family. Unfortunately I don’t have a lot of memories of him before he was sick as I was young when he was diagnosed. I remember he loved singing Adele with anyone and everyone, he was happy and friendly. An amazing person which has been such a loss, an amazing dad, grandad, partner, brother, uncle and son. He will be greatly missed, I want to help as many families as possible facing the same thing.

£4 could pay for the telephone costs of one family calling the Helpline for free to get the support they need.

£10 could help 10 families find out more about dementia and how to get a diagnosis for a loved one through funding our information and advice leaflets.

£25 could pay for a carer to receive an hour of one-to-one support from a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse on our free Helpline.

£50 could pay for two carers to receive an hour of one-to-one support from a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse on our free national Helpline.

£87 could pay for a monthly two-hour clinical supervision session for up to eight Admiral Nurses

£135 could pay for an Admiral Nurse to answer calls for an evening on our Helpline, when other sources of support have closed for the night.
