Ames Vinyl Cafe needs help
Donation protected
Hey everyone, I am the owner of GrimCreative (a video production company/ full creative service). Over the years I've been going to the vinyl cafe religiously and have grown a great friendship with Blake (the owner of vinyl). For those who don't know Vinyl cafe is a coffee shop/ vinyl record store. This shop is located in downtown Ames near other great businesses such as diem, morning bell, downtown deli, great planes and heroic ink (just naming off the businesses I go to normally haha).
Right after filming Blake, -because I've been wanting to make some videos for his great business for a while and finally got some free time to do so. His espresso machine had a faulty water line overnight. This killed the machine and also flooded the shop/ destroyed some vinyl. Commercial espresso machines are SUPER expensive… especially ones from Italy (which is what he has). Not only is this a super expensive fix/ replacement, he has had to close up shop while everything's being replaced or fixed. I'm not sure the exact price but I'm guessing all of this has to be more than 10k. He has found a replacement machine for now while the other one is getting replaced and is opening back up tomorrow 9-29 or Monday 10-2.
Blake has expressed his stress and everything that is going on so I thought I'd help by making this gofundme and the videos. So I guess it might have come in handy that I made the videos when I did. I'm also making this because Blake and I are the same. We try to do everything ourselves and get by sometimes. I know he needs the help but I doubt he'd make a gofundme for himself. I, Blake and the community that makes vinyl would appreciate anything, stop in as well!
