Hi. This is Mark Brown. Mark is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He works as a doorman/concierge in the building where I live and I have had the pleasure of knowing him since I moved there 5 years ago. You can always count on Mark for anything. I have missed his warm greetings and long chats reminiscing about the adventures of growing up in the South Bronx.
In October, Mark was hospitalized for very low hemoglobin and a pain under his arm. After a two week stay and a biopsy of his lymph nodes, he was diagnosed with Stage II Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
Mark is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment at the Ruttenberg Cancer Center. Although fortunate to have the help and support of his sister and family, having cancer and undergoing treatment adds a huge financial burden as well.
No one with cancer should have to worry about food, getting to his treatments and paying for bills. They should only have to focus on healing.
I have no doubt that he will beat this! His upbeat attitude and his strong will to fight this will get him through it all. He just celebrated his 36th birthday last week and has many more to come.
Please, please help Mark.No donation is too small. Give what you can. The power of empathy and compassion goes a long way.
Whether you donate or not, please keep Mark in your prayers or just send positive vibes his way!
